Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 June 2026
Introduction
These terms set out the basis on which Launchpad Studios ("we", "us", "our"), a UK-based web design and development studio, provides design and development services to you ("you", "the client"). By engaging our services or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms.
Scope of work
The specific services we provide will be set out in a written proposal, quote, or statement of work agreed between us before a project begins. Any work that falls outside the agreed scope — including additional pages, features, or revisions beyond those specified — may be subject to additional charges, which we will confirm with you in advance.
Quotes and estimates
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on the information available at the time and may be revised if the requirements of a project change.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A deposit may be required before work begins
- Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date
- Final deliverables may be withheld until full payment has been received
We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments and to pause work on overdue accounts.
Client responsibilities
To deliver your project on time, we rely on you to provide content, materials, feedback, and approvals promptly. Delays in providing these may affect agreed timelines. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you supply does not infringe the rights of others and complies with applicable law.
Revisions and timelines
The number of revision rounds included in a project will be set out in your proposal. Timelines are provided in good faith and may be affected by the timeliness of client feedback and the availability of required materials.
Intellectual property
Once a project has been paid for in full, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you, except for any third-party assets (such as fonts, stock imagery, or plugins) which remain subject to their own licences. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed.
Third-party services
Projects may rely on third-party services such as hosting, domain registration, or plugins. These are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, performance, or any charges they may impose.
Liability
We take care to deliver work to a high standard, but we do not warrant that a website will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid by you for those services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Cancellation
Either party may terminate a project by giving written notice. If you cancel, you remain liable for any work completed up to the date of cancellation and any non-refundable costs we have already incurred on your behalf. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
